AGM Rescheduled

8 Nov 2016 by Eddie McGovern

2016 AGM to be held at 1pm on December 18th at the Centenary Hotel.
Note that nominations before the AGM precedence for acceptance ahead of nominations on the day.

This includes:

> President
> Vice President
> Secretary
> Treasurer
> Registrar
> 5 x General Committee Members

- As per the last two years the Senior Vice President Role is filled by the Juniors President to facilitate better communication and co-ordination.

- There has not been a dedicated senior club registrar the past 2 seasons and this position urgently requires occupation moving forward in 2017. With the new Rugbylink system this role requires data entry of registrations and weekly results/teamsheets and doesn’t involve a constant presence prior to trainings or at games.

We are looking for the general committee members to take up specific roles for the year coordinating facets of the club and enlisting volunteers themselves to assist with each role.

These include:

Coaches & Managers Coordinator – Responsible for insuring teams maintain allotted equipment and arranging for additional equipment, training etc. required by coaches.

Home Game Coordinator – Responsible for placing orders for home games and coordinating volunteers and setup/packup as well as arranging sponsor signage etc. Up to 5 home games each season.

Fundraising Coordinator – Responsible for arranging meat trays and regular weekly fundraising raffles as well as special item raffles at home games and club functions. This role may require a regular presence at the Sponsor Pub after matches to run raffles with assistance of the players and will be assisted by the Club Captain.

Merchandise Coordinator – Responsible for merchandise sales and supply of kit to players. Requires a weekly presence before one of the training sessions.

Touring Manager – With Fish Fest returning in 2017 over Easter and our regular preseason trial games in Port Douglas (Late Feb) along with various away games requiring team buses. We are after a committee member to plan ahead bus/driver requirements and assist with coordinating accommodation etc. This roles does not require the coordinator to travel although the trips are often the best part of the season!

We are also open to volunteers putting up their hand to assist the club in various capacities and this includes:
> various club events through the year such as our Season Launch, 100 Club, Presentation Night etc.
with a few fixes around the club shed required we need a volunteer to co-ordinate these works at their own pace through the year.
> As the club approaches its 50th celebrations we are busy getting club records onto electronic format. This includes scanning in old documents, news articles and team photos through the year.

All events have procedures and spreadsheet templates to manage making the task quite easy and more a matter of having additional committee members/volunteers to share the work and minimise volunteer hours for others.
